The powdered form of Terminalia chebula — Haritaki Churna or Harad Powder — represents one of the most extensively formulated medicinal plant powders in Ayurvedic practice. The dried fruit of this large deciduous tree, native to the tropical forests of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, is sun-dried, de-seeded, and finely milled to produce a pale tan powder with a characteristic astringent, sweet, and slightly bitter taste profile.
